Chris Stapleton - Connecticut Innovator Changes Waste Industry

Chris Stapleton of Connecticut is known for his solar energy companies. But the green entrepreneur spent his earlier years innovating in the waste and recycling sector, an important area that needs to be improved to help protect the environment.

Chris Stapleton Connecticut started Connecticut based waste and haulage businesses in the late 1990s. The businesses dealt with the recycling of concrete and asphalt, something that no other company was dealing with at that time.

The business was a huge success, also becoming the first to have plant responsibility for bulk waste and demolition debris volume reduction and waste separation. Ultimately the green innovator sold and transitioned the company on to Waste Management, Inc., a nationally publically traded company.

This is what industry, and the world, is in need of - businesses that bring innovations that deal with local and national problems. Big businesses can be clunky and stuck in their ways, so it is down to new startups to challenge the status quo and mix things up.

For Chris Stapleton and his Connecticut startups, waste and recycling was just a start. His portfolio of achievements moved onto a successful property development enterprise creating family homes, before moving on to the solar energy industry - and sector that can be very profitable, while also making a big impact for the public good. It has been a good few years for this entrepreneur, and let’s hope there are more good years ahead to see what other great news he can bring.
